Biking

It was a great place to bike, with the Centennial Trail nearby.  Our first morning there, Greg and Kylen went with the group.  The second morning, Greg enjoyed a long bike ride alone.  :-)

Camping

Almost a week went by again!  I'm guessing this will happen more frequently now that our heavier school schedule is approaching.

We had such a terrific summer!  I still hope to sneak in a few activities, but we did pretty well on our list.  Last weekend, friends kindly invited us to join them camping on land with private river/lake access.  It definitely got us thinking about owning water front property someday!  The place was amazing, and the best part was having it all to ourselves.  We spent most of our time in the water near the dock.  There was very little current, so we floated a lot.  We took our raft out, which was fun, but we decided next time we'll leave it home and just bring the paddles!  Using the paddles with smaller inflatables ended up being pretty popular.  I liked having the ability to turn myself around easily and quickly so I could face the dock where the kids were playing while still keeping a safe distance from getting splashed.  We got the camping experience with tents, outhouses and coolers; but they had great conveniences such as running water, a covered eating area, and fire pit.  I'll post lots of pics over the next couple days!

Boating

Greg got off work a couple hours early Monday, and we headed over to Coeur d'Alene to rent a boat with friends.  We got in the water around 4 and came back to dock by 8.  Kylen said it was one of the best days of his life!  It really was a wonderful time, and we're talking about making it an annual tradition.  :-)

We were all in stitches when Greg kept falling off while trying to get on!

"I don't know about this . . ."

FINALLY!  He looks so proud of himself!  Lol!

Wheeee!

"Ahhhh . . ."  Kylen got on fairly quickly.

Unfortunately, he was facing the wrong way and flipped the moment we started moving, shortly after this shot.

Let's try again.  This time, it worked, but he was sliding off.  Things went better after he got on his belly.

See the ancient ruins in the background?  ;-)

Our friends are into film-making and wanted to get some footage of Mrs. Mop and Mr. Bucket riding in the boat.  Lol!
