Hawaii: Day 9 ~ Pearl Harbor

Our first day in Oahu, we rose early to meet family at Pearl Harbor.

Rainbows are much more common in Hawaii.

We got tickets for the USS Arizona Memorial and browsed the free exhibit galleries, which Kylen especially enjoyed.

We took a boat to the USS Arizona Memorial.

Telltale signs of the sunken ship.

We also toured the USS Bowfin submarine with audio.  That was probably my favorite part.

Kylen was ready to leave by that point and finished far ahead of us.  I wasn't able to get any pics of him on the sub.

Love the hardware!

I got one of him in front of the mural though!

It was time for dinner.  We hit one of the shrimp trucks on the North Shore.

The garlic shrimp was amazing.

We felt like dessert, so we tried out a place called Il Gelato Cafe.  We loved it and ate there a second time.  Greg would have liked to go every day for the Kona coffee ice cream.

Perfect spot for a date.

Contentment.

I had a crepe with nutella and bananas.  :)
