Cousin's Wedding

My cousin Ted got married in late March, and it was definitely one of the nicest weddings I've been to.  There were so many special touches!

They tied childhood pictures to chairs.  :)  Here's one from the groom's side:

There were signs with quotes from the Bible.  Kylen hadn't been to a wedding since he was a young child.  He was surprised and impressed by all the Christian references.

I took this shot before the ceremony.  Wish I had remembered to come back and get another after it was full of signatures!

They had a photo booth!

Here comes the bride!

Straight from Norman Rockwell!

This was sweet.  She comes from a military family, and one of her brothers couldn't be there due to being deployed.

They had little bags and a variety of candy.

Family Gathering

My cousin got married in April, and we were blessed to have an aunt, uncle, and cousin stay with us a few days.  It was wonderful spending time with family.  Such a pleasant and easygoing bunch!

Something funny happened during one of the games we played.  Another cousin is getting married soon, and we were playing Apples to Apples with him, his fiance, sister, and parents.  I couldn't find our main set of cards, so we played with extras from expansion sets, and it just so happened one of them must have been loaded with wedding-related words.  Pretty hilarious how those cards kept turning up with an engaged couple sitting there.

A bunch of extended family met at a pizza place for dinner, and Gonzaga progressed to the Final Four while we were there.  With two alumni present and several fans, that was a really neat moment.  We all cheered, and my uncle passed out Zags pins.

More games!  TONS of laughs this night, especially with Quelf.

On the way to drop my aunt, uncle, and cousin off at the airport, we made a quick stop at my uncle's house to surprise him with a birthday gift.

It was a rainy day, but we saw the most beautiful rainbow!
