In the sidebar at the top right you can click on the slideshow to see pictures from our little weekend trip to Seattle! We left town Friday evening and headed back home Sunday evening.
Highlights
All of Us ~ Spending lots of time together without the usual distractions such as blogging! Eating a fine meal at my friend, Kris’ house! (Somehow we forgot to take pics there! Oof!) Free awesome breakfasts at our hotel. The Washington State History Museum Exhibits
Farrah ~ Looking around gift shops! The Museum of Glass, especially an interesting film on Lino Tagliapietra
Greg ~ The Sci-Fi Museum The David Meece Concert
Kylen ~ Swimming at our hotel Going up in The Space Needle Laughing until he nearly cried at the David Meece Concert, who is a very good story teller
Low Points
We spent way to much time driving after we arrived, as everything was very spread out. If we could do it again, we would probably stay in Seattle.
Kylen asked nonstop questions at the museums and gift shops like, “How long will we be here?” “How much longer ‘till we leave?” “What time is it?” and about 500 zillion variations on those. Are other eight year olds this bad? Someone give me hope…will he reach an age when he actually enjoys museums? I dare not expect he will ever like gift shops, but PLEASE tell me he will start enjoying museums someday!
Our journey home had barely begun when we had a tire blowout. Thankfully, Greg was able to change it quickly. Unfortunately, everything was closed, so we were forced to drive 300 miles at 50 mph on the spare instead of 70 mph. Plus, Greg kept pulling over to take 25 minute naps at rest areas. The seven hour drive home turned into a nightmarish eleven hours. Our sanity was pushed to the breaking point, but PRAISE GOD we made it!

Wow! That was quite the weekend! You'll have to fill us in on the museums you went to. We've been to a few over there, but I'm not sure that we've been to any that you named. The Sci-Fi Museum sounds fun. Was it? There's a really great computer museum in Bozeman, MT that's worth going to if you're ever in the area. We hit it and the Museum of the Rockies (featuring King Tut) one weekend last summer. We love museums!
Oh Farrah, So glad you're safe and sound. Yes, your dear son will grow up before you turn around twice and you will wonder where the time went, and why all the irritating things they do are really so irritating after all. My eldest son graduates high school is Spring. Wwwaaah! However, I can't promise he will ever like museums, but he will be a fine young man after all. I love the new look of your blog. Thanks for sharing. xoRachel
The slide show trip pics are great. Yes, your son will begin to enjoy museums someday. My kids are much better at museums since they have gotten a little older. I'm just glad you made it home safely.
Great new blog look, btw.
Sounds like Seattle was good to you! Glad that you enjoyed yourselves!!! Now I am off to check out your pictures posted!!!
