Happy New Year!!!
We had a quiet evening last night. Some of our friends stay home New Year's Eve to avoid drunk drivers, and we decided to follow their example. We made a couple appetizers, had tea and cupcakes, and played a game of Dominion. Someone said their family chats about the previous year - their likes/dislikes and goals for the future. We did that, but it wasn't nearly as interesting as I thought it would be! It seems we were all pretty content with 2014 and don't really have plans for 2015. The talk seemed a bit pointless, but it also highlighted something: how blessed we are to have a happy, content home. I guess we are living James 4:
"Go to now, ye that say, today or tomorrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain: whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that."
Today we are enjoying another quiet day at home, getting a few things done here and there. It's nice. I might start putting away the Christmas décor. Will be sad to see the outside lights go but glad to get out the Valentine décor. =)
We wish everyone a wonderful 2015!
Is it cool inside there, Dad?

HAPPY 2015! We loved your card..it is always our favorite! I was lucky to just get one out..but then I am also not as creative as you LOL! I am happy to get sometime to get caught up on your blog! I have been thinking of you a lot and hoping you are well!
It's so good to "see" you, Katrina! Thank you for the compliment! I consider our cards to be one of my biggest projects of the year, but it is also a lot of stress! Sometimes I wonder if it's worth it! Lol!
I think of you often too, wondering how things are going with fostering, homeschooling, etc. I always know though that you are busy working for the Lord. =)
