This is currently one of Kylen's favorite games. The pieces and board are neat and the cards add an interesting dimension, but I don't like it as well as some of the other versions. For one thing, it lasted way too long. We had several rounds where it could have ended but didn't due to the ring not progressing. This made it hard to plan late in the game. Greg got the victory, but any of us could have won if we had been fortunate enough to roll a high number at the end of our turn. When I play a long game using a lot of strategy, I want the victory to depend on more than a single die roll! I'd also like to try this with four players. It would probably be more balanced, since the cards favor the bad guys. With three players, two are bad and one is good. I played the good guy.
Is it cool inside there, Dad?
